Step outside the confusion, see the patterns keeping you stuck, and discover a clearer way to understand each other.
Your free training is ready. Watch below.
As You Watch, Think About an Argument You Keep Having.
The details change, but somehow you end up in the same place.
One person tries harder to get their point across. The other feels misunderstood and starts defending themselves.
Before long, you’re arguing about how you’re arguing—and the original concern never gets addressed.
This training will help you see what happens beneath those exchanges. You’ll begin to recognize why something that seems small to you can carry much more weight for your partner, and how defending the facts can leave the hurt underneath them untouched.
A Bigger Picture Changes How You Respond.
Recognize what the argument represents.
Understand why “it was just one thing” may describe today’s incident without describing what it brings up for your partner.
Notice your own protective reactions.
Recognize when defending your intentions gets in the way of understanding your impact.
Make room for both experiences.
Learn how to acknowledge your partner’s hurt without agreeing with every conclusion they’ve drawn.
Move toward the actual problem.
Begin shifting from proving whose account is correct to understanding what needs attention between you.

Beyond the Argument
A nine-week program to help you understand each other and address the problems that keep returning.
Loving each other doesn’t automatically give you the tools to navigate your differences.
Beyond the Argument helps you step back and see the relationship system you’re both participating in. You’ll understand how your own reactions shape the conversation and learn to recognize what is happening beneath your partner’s response.
Through the Understand–Appreciate–Negotiate framework, you’ll practice slowing down defensive exchanges and making room for both perspectives. Then you’ll learn to build agreements you can put into practice.
You can work through the material at your own pace, watching together or separately and bringing what you learn into your everyday conversations.
